Awkward Sex...And The City
Awkward Sex is exactly what it sounds like: comedians reliving intimate tales about their sex life and breaking barriers about sex and dating.

Awkward Sex is about taking taboo subjects and creating a safe space for people to feel seen and heard.
From cocaine infused one night stands to IBS flare ups during cunnilingus, you and your friends will be hanging on to every word and excited to go out and have a sexual misadventure of your own.
“Good sex is always good sex, but it takes a special person to turn bad sex into something amazing. And that’s where our New York comedian and podcaster Natalie Wall comes in.” -Philadelphia Gay News

The Trans Trucker Project // Dance Party
⭐ ABOUT THE EVENT ⭐
Join us at Friends & Lovers for a dance party to fundraise for The Trans Trucker Project, an indie short documentary about the trans trucking community! 🚚 🎥
We have the iconic elle xxo DJing and a raffle with amazing prizes and limited-edition merch. 🎧 💸
The theme is ROAD HEAD. Think reclaimed Americana, motorcycle babe, sexy mechanic, denim cut-offs, muscle tees, oil stains... 🚛 💋
Come get sweaty and sparkly, celebrate badass trans truckers and support indie queer cinema! Dolls get in for free and we have tiered pricing ticket options for the rest of the rainbow. 💖🌈
⭐ ABOUT THE FILM ⭐
Led by an award-winning queer and trans film team, The Trans Trucker Project follows Ashleigh, a 24-year-old trans woman truck driver as she traverses the American countryside en route to a one-of-a-kind LGBTQ+ trucker holiday party in Florida. 🎄🎅 🏖
You might be surprised to learn that trans women make up as much as 3% of big-rig truckers in the U.S. (that is ~90,000 drivers!) Trucking is a dangerous industry, but the open road also provides a sense of freedom, power, and unexpected community for queer and trans people who struggle to find belonging elsewhere. 🛣 🏳️🌈
The Trans Trucker Project offers a unique vision of working-class trans people who experience immense pride and joy in their unconventional work - dispelling the harmful myth that trans rights and working-class interests are at odds with one another. ✊ 💅
⭐ DONATION INFO ⭐
It is a critical time to uplift trans stories, but it's also harder than ever to get these projects made. But! queer and trans filmmakers have always turned to community to make and share their art. Your support will make it possible for us to shoot in December and get this timely film to audiences as soon as possible! 🎞 🍿
Can't make it to the event? You can still donate to this fundraiser and share with your networks! 👩❤️👩
Matching Donations
Many companies have matching gift programs and can help you double your donation to a project of your choosing. Sometimes these programs will match a donation up to a year after it was originally made! Check with your employer—if they have a matching gift program, they will provide you with instructions. 💰💰
If you're interested in making a tax-deductible donation or learning about funder credits and terms for executive producers, please email producer Mars Verrone at mewverrone@gmail.com.
